The Winter Solstice occurs in December. It is known as the shortest day of the year. After which, the days start getting longer and the nights shorter. For the joy of many among us the Winter Solstice it’s usually celebrated with an enthusiastic «Winter is behind us»! As a matter of fact the daylight lengthens on average by 1-2 minutes a day, a mere trifle, actually.

Awakening

Thanks to the first timid sunbeams that make their way through the morning frost, from January, or perhaps just after having bypassed the famous (and depressing) Blue Monday, something inside us begins to vibrate. Nature is calling: the first spring buds are slowly awakening from the winter sleep and we also start to look for more sunlight.

A coffee al fresco

«Let’s have our cup of coffee on the terrace»: who among us hasn’t thought about it in the last few days? The days get longer and it is difficult to resist the temptation of having our steaming cup of coffee (that glorious little moment of relaxation all by ourselves) outdoors. We’re hungry for air and light… And thank goodness there is Kindof, with its versatile furnishing, suitable for all seasons:  good at home, but perfect outdoors and always ready for use!

Waiting for springtime

Sitting on our chaise longue Kindof, the cup of coffee resting right on the top of Parentesi, the coffee table, we enjoy the warmth of this lovely winter sun. So why don’t we start designing our outdoor space right now, in view of the good season? Let’s start imagining our next springtime, with new furnishings and new colours for our outdoors!
